Now, everybody is buzzing about Zendaya and her red carpet look. I didn't know who she was until she was offered the part of Aaliyah for the biopic. I don't see what all of the fuss is about. She is embracing who she is. The commentator who was classless enough to spout that racial dumbness on tv should not be surprised that she is now currently unemployed. Burn! Watch what you say out of your mouth! If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything. Simple...

 Changing gears here. I have begun to experiment with different flavored cheesecakes. My chocolate swirl didn't come out the way I had hoped because the chocolate cooled off too fast but the two strawberry cheesecakes came out beautiful. I also made a pineapple cheesecake that was wonderfully accepted.

Post-Awards Hoopla

Aside from the glamorous gowns and funny antics of presenters I appreciated the message John Legend and Common brought forth. There are more black men incarcerated today than there were slaves in 1850. That speaks loud and clear about America's racial attitude towards black men. The question now becomes, how will America correct this problem of protecting human rights at home when she so loudly protests against human rights violations abroad?

 On a different note, a much more pleasant note, upon my return I have yet to introduce you to my two younger children...

 Yehudi is my first-born daughter. Spunky and very observant, she has a mind of her own and the stubborn Leo in her is not shy. At 2 1/2 she is definitely a character all her own.

Chava is 9 months old and is just as hilarious and demanding as his big sister, Yehudi. Crawling, standing, babbling and grabbing plates of food...

That is how I woke up feeling this morning and the temps outside read 1°. Yes! 1° with a wind chill of -15°! Lord, old man winter can you please stop disrespecting my bones!

 Spring is right around the corner and I am anxiously awaiting the warmer weather...

Happy Birthday Twins!

Today my twin sons turn 13 years old. Time really does fly but I am soo proud of the young men they are becoming. 7th graders now, high school seniors 5 years from now.

Freezing Cold

It's winter, I get it. Winter is cold, I get that too. What I don't get are these Arctic temperatures on the middle of the east coast. Woke up to a temperature reading of 2° with a wind chill of -15°. Those are insane readings. I need a warm climate...

Valentine's Day

Soo many people get bent out of shape if their boo doesn't put on a massive PDA for today. Cards, flowers and candy is nice but should the true love not be there the act of love is - you guessed it - empty. Why not revel in the heart fluttering feeling of love you get from thinking about your love. The tingle in your body from reading a message from your love. What happened to slow dancing to Marvin Gaye just because?

Sistahs With Purpose w/Tina and Yani
