Nature's Rebirth

Have you ever sat back and looked closely at a budding flower? Seeing the tiniest sign of life springing on the little branches of a hedge? It helpss put into perspective how fragile life is and also how precious it is. Being able to bring forth life is a blessing that so many take for granted. It makes me wonder how the creator chooses who he wishes to bring forth life...

From this tiny push for life grows a beautiful plant that flourishes in it's own right.

And here's one that fought to stay alive through the winter...

And They're Off!....

My classes have started on the 16th and woa! I am only taking two classes this semester but the adrenaline rush from reading over lecture notes should be illegal! My boys saw me reading for one of my classes and was excited to see I have homework like they do... this was the end of week one and I have eleven more weeks to go to finish my first semester back!

Preschool is the best!

These are my twins, Tyron (left) and Tyrell. They started preschool last Thursday. They are so excited. Tyrell was sad because this is the first time that he and Tyron have been separated, because they are in different classrooms. Look at their faces... aren't they adorable? In ten more years my oldest son will be about to turn 18 and preparing for college. I will party like it's 1999!

So Excited!

That is the song I saw Janet Jackson perform on the Oprah show. That song is hot! I have it playing on my myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/poeticphilly . I had Justin Timberlake's SexyBack on there for all of about 2 minutes before I found Janet and before that I had Mary J Blige's Take Me As I Am, but that was a little saddening...

Bone Thugs...

I was listening to Bone Thugs Resurrection on Saturday and one of their songs is stuck in my head. I was out and about on that gorgeous day. It was about 70 degrees and this is the beginning of January. I saw rose buds on the tips of some tree branches!! Yet the newscasters are trying to convince the public that there is no global warming?! The fu*king polar ice caps are melting and Europe is closing ski resorts for the lack of snow high in the mountains. But our merry old leader is fighting to send more of our sons, brothers, uncles, fathers and lovers overseas to fight... for what? Wasn't their whole purpose of invading Iraq to weed out and rid the world of Saddam Hussein? Did they not murder him last week and catch it on a camera phone to show the world? Did our ever so wise leader stop to think how the world would treat Americans who happen to be overseas anywhere? We are in a very vulnerable place right now due to the arrogance and ignorance portrayed by the very class of people who felt justified in hanging innocent people from trees just because of the color of their skin. But we're supposed to trust them with our lives right?

Photos Abound

Soo many pictures, so little memory! Here is one of my nephew, Niagere:

He is ten years old... isn't he a darling? I caught him playing his Gamecube in his room. Photography is fun when you read up on it.
